Summary

Linear ditches, possibly the remnants of prehistoric or Roman field boundaries, are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. Their orientation is at odds with that of the modern field pattern, suggesting they may be of relatively early date. They could be contemporary with other field boundaries recorded to the north (NHER 17228) and southwest (NHER 21762 and 49645). They appear to respect (or be overlain by) a possible mound, also visible as a cropmark, which may be the site of a Bronze Age round barrow (NHER 64942).
