Full Description
March 2013. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of part of large proposed development area (Sector 10).
No anomalies of obvious archaeological significant were identified within this field.
Although a number of discrete areas of magnetic enhancement were recorded these were probably the result of variations in the underlying superficial geology (possibly the presence of alluvium).
Areas of magnetic disturbance in the southern and eastern corners of the field and a number of scattered isolated dipolar anomalies were probably all caused by ferrous material within the topsoil - most likely modern debris.
See report (S1) for further details.
