Summary

At some time prior to 1992 a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age flint axehead was found somewhere in the vicinity of the 'Roman settlement' at Caistor on Sea (i.e. somewhere in the area of NHER 8675).

Found "500 yards [450m] from sea (Roman settlement)" [3]:
Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age part-polished flint axehead. The sub-trapezoidal form and thin, lenticular cross section of this implement suggests it is likely to represent a flint copy of one of the early copper/copper alloy flat axes. It probably had a ceremonial rather than practical function.
