Summary

Outbuildings to rear of Quorn House (NHER 14255). The 18th-century stable block was remodelling in the mid 19th-century when the adjacent shed was built. The flight holes of a dovecote above the stable appear to read '172?'.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Stable and shed. Probably of 1720's (incomplete date), remodelled mid 19th century. Shed mid 19th century. Red brick with black glazed pantile roof. Some clapboarding. Two-bay stable and tack room with hay loft over, part dovecote, extended and slightly lowered. Various stable and loft panelled and boarded doors and window to left. Right end has part-glazed door to tack room, and the shed extending to right with doors and red pantile roof. The tumbling-in of the gable was truncated by the renewal of the roof in the mid 19th century. Below this the flight holes appear to read 172-- with an oculus in the centre."
