July 2021. Aylsham and Brampton Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
New and previously recorded (see above) probable former medieval to post medieval field boundaries are seen as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1-S2). The majority of the previously identified former field boundaries most likely relate to boundaries mapped on the Tithe, Frist and Second Edition Ordnance Survey Map. As these features are mapped in good detail on the historic maps, they have not been mapped as part of this project. The features that have been mapped by the project may relate to earlier medieval and post medieval field boundaries not recourded on the historic maps. The monument polygon has been updated to the extent of the features as visible on S1-S2.
