1972. Surface find.
Found on ploughed field at Quebec Farm, 1/4 mile east of Crow Hall:
1 Mesolithic flint tranchet axehead. Donated to Ashmolean Museum (1973.571). See copy of drawing by Ashmolean (S1). Information from (S2). This discovery was reported in (S3).
The axehead is listed in (S4) (which incorrectly lists it as held by the NCM) and is also noted in (S5). See correspondence from Ashmolean and finder's map in file.
A note added to (S6) indicates that the Ashmolean also holds a prehistoric flint flake that was found at the same site.
