Full Description
The Priory. Previously recorded under NHER 10715.
November 1954. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description excerpt:
"House. 17th and 18th century. Brick with roof of black glazed pantiles. Façade of two storeys and dormer attic in four bays. Panelled door right of centre behind flat reeded porch on reeded columns and engaged columns...Dentil eaves cornice below gabled roof. Two low pitched gabled dormers with casements. Internal east gable end stack. Partly external western gable end stack. Rear has two-storey hipped block added in early 19th century. Three bays...Dentil eaves cornice. Roof of slate. One storey and dormer attic cross wing extends north from west end of main block...One gabled dormer in roof.
Interior: Bridging beams of cellar chamfered and tongue stopped. 17th-century brickwork exists in patches. Roofs all of principals, purlins and collars."

The garden walls to The Priory (the north range of which forms part of the medieval priory complex) were seperately listed Grade II in 1988. These are now also recorded as NHER 66396.
