Archaeological evaluation undertaken ahead of proposed reordering of the Abbey Estate (Trench 8).
The single trench excavated revealed no archaeologically-significant features or deposits.
It appears this location saw only minimal disturbance during the construction of the Abbey Estate in the 1960s, with an apparently undisturbed subsoil layer surviving beneath the topsoil.
No finds were recovered.
