18 march 1953. Visited by R. R. Clarke.
No trace of barrow. No sign of barrow in field above stream or in plantation, though knoll to east of plantation could be original site of barrow.

Name occurs on tithe award map of 1840s where it is indexed to a small semicircular plot in angle of parish boundary, not on knoll to east as suggested above.
