November 2020-March 2021. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of site on proposed route of Norwich Western Link (Area 13).
This survey identified nothing of potential archaeological interest.
Extensive area of magnetic disturbance may though mask other responses.
See report (S1) for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 24 February 2025.

May-July 2022. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of site on proposed route of Norwich Western Link (Field TT13; Trenches 133-135 and 137).
The four trenches excavated within these horse paddocks revealed two north-west to south-east aligned ditches, neither of which produced any dating evidence. There was evidence for recent ground disturbance, with a natural colluvial deposit overlain by a made-ground deposits of deposited natural gravel.
See report (S2) for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 24 February 2025.
