According to the Airfields of Britain Conservation Trust website (S1) this is the 'alleged location' of a Home Defence landing ground known to have been in operation at (or near) Tottenhill between 1918 and 1919. This would have been available to various fighter types of No 51 Squadron but it is unclear how much use it actually saw. Any facilities present would have been fairly basic - most likely limited to a pilot's hut.
This airfield is commemorated by a ABCT plaque on Tottenhill Village Hall.
