Full Description
Bexwell Landing Ground/RFC Bexwell.
According to the Airfields of Britain Conservation Trust website (S1) the Royal Flying Corp operated an emergency landing ground at Bexwell during 1915. The exactly location of this airfield is unknown, although it is believed to have been separate from the World War Two airfield that was known locally by the same name (NHER 2455). It is suggested that it may have lain to the south of the village (i.e. within Ryston parish).
