Full Description
September 2021. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of proposed development site.
The nine trenches excavated revealed only a single undated pit with a charcoal-flecked fill. Although this feature produced no finds it was noted that its cut was not visible within the subsoil layer, suggesting it was probably of some antiquity.
No unstratified finds were recovered.
See report (S1) for further details.
