Full Description
August 2021. Aylsham and Brampton Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
Sections of probable Roman road are visible as earthworks on visualised lidar data (S1-S2). It is likely that the features are part of the Roman road recorded more broadly as NHER 2796. Some of the earthwork bank sections have been previously identified from walk over surveys (see NHER 2796) with further features mapped from the visualised lidar data as part of this project. Further low earthwork sections and cropmarks of the Roman road can be seen continuing on to the west (NHER 64215)
J. Powell (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 18 August 2021.
