Summary

This single-storey and attic building was originally built as a farmhouse in the early 17th century, later converted into three cottages and then subsequently into a garage and storerooms. It has colour-washed flint walls with brick dressings.

Visited by E. Rose (NAU) at same time as Gable End.
'L'-shaped group of buildings in fork of road (with 'W' on Ordnance Survey First Edition Six-inch map (S1)).
The north to south building against road is a barn. North gable has two blocked windows with hoodmoulds and a central rectangular chimney. [1] says it had formerly circular windows, and that foundations have been found between the two buildings.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Former farmhouse converted into three cottages and subsequently into garage and storerooms. Early 17th century. Colourwashed flint with brick dressings. One storey with attic. Two plank doors and four 19th-century two-light casement windows. Dentil cornice and two sloping dormers. One gable-end stack and one off-centre axial stack with shaft removed. Pair of blocked windows and a blocked door with rectangular hood moulds in gable-end. Minding stair beside axial stack. One blocked two-light chamfered mullion window retaining stay bars. Arrowhead chamfer stops. Group value with Gable-End [NHER 11750]."
