Summary

A watching brief maintained during the excavation of a new drainage dyke at this location in 2013 recorded no archaeologically-significant features or deposits. A peat deposit was exposed at the southern end of the site.

Maintained during excavation of a new drainage dyke.
No archaeologically-significant features or deposit were recorded.
Along the whole length of this dyke the uppermost soil consisted of a reedy, organic material. At this southern end of the dyke this material lay above a peat deposit. Across the remainder of its length a silt deposit was exposed.
No finds were recovered.
