Full Description
June 2022. Aylsham and Brampton Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
The cropmarks of a probable Bronze Age ring ditch are seen on aerial photographs (S1-S2). The ring ditch most likely relates to the site of a Bronze Age round barrow. The ring ditch appears to overlay a U-shaped feature which may have related to an earlier Neolithic oval enclosure or long barrow (NHER 65647).
This feature was previously recorded as part of NHER 24979.
J. Powell (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 30 June 2022.
