Full Description
May 2023. Aylsham and Brampton Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
Two possible conjoined ring ditches are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1), together with an undated but potentially contemporary pit. The ring ditches are feasibly of prehistoric date, and could relate to Bronze Age round barrows. The cropmarks are fragmentary, however, and visible on only one source, and their archaeological significance is uncertain. They could instead be cropmarks of geological origin.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 3 May 2023.
