Summary

These brick and stone walls forming the northern boundary of Oxburgh Hall Park potentially date to the late medieval period but were remodelled in the early 19th century. They have a chamfered plinth and crenellations with moulded brick copings. An associated gateway is flanked by brick piers with raised stone angles and stone cornices with a pair of carved finials representing the Bedingfeld eagle. These sections of wall are listed Grade II*, along with an associated tower of similar date (NHER 66887).

Listing Description excerpt:
"Possibly late medieval with important early 19th-century remodelling. Brick with some stone and moulded brick dressings. The wall has a chamfered plinth and crenellations with moulded brick copings…
Gate piers and gates. Piers in brick with raised stone angles and stone cornices with a pair of carved finials representing the Bedingfeld eagle. Contemporary iron gates."
