Full Description
May 2023. Aylsham and Brampton Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
Probable plough headlands and/or furlong boundaries of presumed medieval to post-medieval date are visible as low earthworks on visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2017 (S1). The lengths of sinuous bank conform to the pattern of enclosure depicted on 19th-century maps (such as S2-S3) but for the most part are not themselves depicted. As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently, it is likely that the earthworks still survive.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 22 May 2023.
