Map

World War Two spigot mortar pedestal.
This was reported to Norfolk County Council HES by a member of the public in March 2023 [1]. It is clearly visible at approximately TL 87447 83681 on recent Goole Street View imagery (S1), within a grassed area between Glebe Close and Mundford Road. It appears to have an intact stainless steel pin but only the uppermost portion of the pedestal itself is currently visible. It is therefore unclear whether any other elements of the mortar emplacement survive.
P. Watkins (HES), 30 May 2023.
