Full Description
September 2022. Metal-detecting. [1].
Found very close together in a 6 foot [1.8m] diameter area:
Medieval coin hoard of 3 silver coins - all halfpennies of Edward I. The close proximity of these coins and the fact they all date to the early 1280s makes it likely they represent a 'purse loss' from around this time. Two were minted in Ireland, suggesting their owner had recently come from there (or received money from someone who had).
Information from PAS import.
These coins were returned to the finder after being disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2022 T981).
