Summary

Extraction pits of unknown date are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. They partly overlie the line of a Roman road (NHER 66779, part of NHER 2796) and a group of multi-phase enclosures and field boundaries (NHER 52551). They could be contemporary with some of these features, or perhaps with the substantial moated site in the adjacent field to the south (NHER 66765), but they might equally represent a separate phase of activity.
