Map

February 2022. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of groundworks associated with construction of new agricultural building.
No archaeologically-significant remains were recorded, although it should be noted that the footprint of the building was only reduced by approximately 0.15m, with only topsoil removed. A single test pit was dug to a depth of 0.65m, which did not reach the base of the underlying subsoil.
Unstratified finds were limited to a Neolithic/Bronze Age flint flake and a late medieval/early post-medieval pottery sherd.
Information from draft report. Final version awaited.
