Full Description
October 2018. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of groundworks associated with construction of extension to existing dwelling.
No archaeologically-significant features or deposits were observed.
Two narrow foundation trenches exposed natural chalk deposits beneath a fairly deep and apparently undisturbed subsoil layer. Only minimal ground reduction took place across the remainder of the extension’s footprint.
No finds were recovered.
