Summary

Barn of 18th-century date to north-east of Newgate Farmhouse (NHER 24094). It is built of coursed flint with some brick and has brick dressings and (when last examined) an asbestos roof.

September 1987. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description excerpt:
"Barn. 18th century, coursed flint with some brick, brick dressings, asbestos roof. Five bays, roof to end one and a half bays to right rebuilt at lower pitch. Brick capped flint plinth, eaves courses rebuilt in brick. Large central opening to south, four windows, one per bay. Left gable and higher right gable weather-boarded. North front: no door, four vertical slits.
Interior: three-tier butt purlin roof with collars, struts from tie beams. Left end one and a half bays timbers renewed, king posts. Included for group value."
