Map

July 2023. Aylsham and Brampton Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
A ring ditch, visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S1), is probably the site of a Bronze Age round barrow. It is one of six ring ditches clustered at this location; these have been recorded collectively as the site of a probable Bronze Age round barrow cemetery (NHER 66754). The ring ditch appears to be at least partially respected by various – presumably later – field boundaries, recorded as part of NHER 12786, or depicted on the Ordnance Survey First Edition six-inch map (S2) and therefore not recorded by the project.
This ring ditch was probably recorded previously as part of NHER 12786, but there is not enough detail in the original record to be certain.
