Summary

This long, single-storey range of warehouses was constructed in the late 15th-century, after the river had receded westwards. Elements were rebuilt in the 17th and 18th centuries and there were further alterations in the 20th century. A brick wall to the south incorporates a former watergate which would have opened directly into a warehouse - suggesting the adjacent building was originally much wider until narrowed in the 17th century.
