Map

August 2023. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
A probable post medieval field boundary is visible as a low earthwork on visualised lidar data (S1). This date is suggested because it fits the pattern of enclosure depicted on 19th century maps (such as the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6 inch, S2), although it is not itself depicted. Several other post medieval field boundaries, and a small pit, which are depicted on this source, are also visible as earthworks on the visualised lidar data but fall outside scope for recording by the project. As the lidar survey was flown quite recently (2017), it is likely that the earthwork still survives.
