A section of a probable medieval-post medieval boundary ditch is seen as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S1). The feature most likely relates to the parish boundary between Booton and Cawston and is most likely Medieval-post medieval in date. The feature follows the alignment of the parish boundary seen on the Frist and Second Edition Ordnance survey maps (S2-S3) and is close to the position of the modern parish boundary. The boundary is in close proximity to multi period features including the cropmarks of a section of Roman road (NHER 64213).
