Summary

An area of clay with possible embedded timber was exposed on the beach at Sea Palling in 2023. It is possible that these remains represent part of the former Early Prehistoric landscape. However, this possible interpretation is extremely tentative and further investigation is required to confirm. It could equally have a much more modern and/or natural origin.
