Summary

Fieldwalking and metal detecting have led to the discovery of prehistoric, Roman, medieval and post medieval artefacts. The Roman objects may represent activity on the periphery of Brampton Roman town (NHER 1006 and 1124) and include pottery, coins and four brooches. Other objects include prehistoric worked flints, a Late Bronze Age awl, medieval and post medieval coins and medieval and post medieval pottery. One of the post medieval coins is Portuguese or Spanish.
