Map

August 2023. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
A low earthwork mound (since levelled) of an unknown date is seen on aerial photographs (S1). The date and function of the feature is unknown. The mound is within an area of medieval to post medieval field boundaries and ridge and furrow (NHER 66973). It is possible that the mound could be medieval to post medieval in date and may have related to features recorded in proximity. The mound is visible as an earthwork in the 1940s (S1) and appears to be levelled by the 1970s (S2).
