Summary

Metal-detecting in 2016 recovered a small post-medieval coin hoard at this location. The hoard comprises four shillings and was probably deposited in the mid 17th century.

Found within a small area:
Post-medieval coin hoard comprising 4 shillings (1 of Phillip and Mary and 3 of Charles I).
The level of wear on the latest coin of Charles I indicates a date of deposition soon after 1641-1643.

This hoard was disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2016 T1013) and returned to the finder.
