Summary

A watching brief maintained during the excavation of a trench for a new sewerage pipeline at this location in 2023 recorded no archaeologically-significant features or deposits. It should though be noted that the excavated trench was very narrow, potentially hampering the recognition of any remains present.

No archaeologically-significant features or deposits were noted within this narrow trench.
The topsoil was found lie directly above natural sands and gravels.
No finds were recovered.
