Summary

A World War One memorial with World War Two additions commemorating the servicemen of Wicklewood parish. It was dedicated on the 2 August 1920 and is in the form of a Celtic cross made of Portland stone.

Location: Next to the south door of the Church of All Saints, 37 Church Lane, Wicklewood
Type: Celtic Cross
Description: The memorial is in the form of a Celtic cross constructed of Portland stone. It commemorates the war fallen of the parish of Wicklewood, with four names added after the Second World War. There is decorative knot work on the head and body of the cross. It sits on a tapering rectangular plinth on top of a base with a low step. The memorial is placed in a square of gravel surrounded by a kerb.

ALSO REMEMBER THOSE/ FALLEN IN THE WORLD WAR/ 1939 – 1945/ (4 NAMES).
