Summary

A World War One memorial with World War Two additions commemorating the war fallen of the parish of Caistor St Edmund. The memorial is in the form of an octagonal-plan cross made of limestone. It was unveiled in 1922.

Location: St Edmund Church, Norwich Road, Caistor St Edmund, within the scheduled remains of the Roman fort Venta Icenorum
Type: Cross (octagonal-plan)
Description: The memorial is in the form of an octagonal-plan cross made of limestone. There is a crucifix on the front face. The cross stands on a square plinth on top of a two-stepped base. The front face of the plinth holds the original inscription. One name was added after WW2 to the inscription.
