World War One memorial with World War Two additions
Location: St Peter and St Paul’s Churchyard, Church Lane, Brockdish
Type: Gothic Cross
Description: The memorial is in the form of a Gothic floriated cross made of Portland stone. The cross had an octagonal shaft with a collar. The cross sits atop a four-sided plinth with gabled panels. The plinth is placed on top of a three-step octagonal base. The original inscription is placed on the plinth faces, along with the additional WW2 inscription. A footstone was placed on the top step of the base against the plinth following WW2.

Unveiled: Assumed planned and erected around 1920, when the majority of Norfolk’s war memorials were commissioned. Additional research required.
