Summary

A World War One memorial with World War Two additions commemorating the servicemen of the parish of Knapton, erected around 1920. It is in the form of a Latin cross constructed of granite. The lead lettering was repaired in 2010.

Location: The churchyard of the Church of St Peter and St Paul, The Street, Knapton
Type: Latin Cross
Description: A memorial in the form of a Latin cross made of rough-hewn granite, commemorating the war fallen of the parish of Knapton. It was erected around 1920. The cross stands on a plinth with “polished recessed panels” (S2) with lead dedications inscribed, on top of a single-step square base. The lead lettering has conservation repairs undertaken in 2010.
