World War One memorial with World War Two additions
Location: Adjacent to All Saints Church, Junction of Hall Road and Church Road, Caston
Type: Calvary Cross
Description: The memorial is in the form of a Calvary cross made of stone. The cross is placed on an upper plinth with “dentilated detailing around the cornice” (S2). Below the upper plinth is a tapering plinth holding the inscription panels in recessed faces. There are decorative floral carvings surrounding the inscriptions. The plinth sits atop a three-step octagonal base. The cross itself has a long shaft and a hipped cap on the head.
