Summary

A World War One memorial with World War Two and Korean War additions commemorating the servicemen of the parish of Aylsham, constructed in 1922. The memorial is in the form of a wheel-head cross made of granite.

Type: Wheel-head Cross
Description: The memorial is in the form of a wheel-head cross made of granite. It commemorates the fallen of WW1 and WW2, with an additional name from the Korean War (1950-1953). The memorial stands on a tapering square plinth with two low steps at the base. Three sides of the plinth are inscribed with names of WW1 servicemen. A granite plaque is on the final side of the plinth with the WW2 and Korean War inscription. The memorial was restored in 2009.
