Summary

A World War One memorial with World War Two additions commemorating the servicemen of Nordelph. The memorial is in the form of a Celtic cross made of grey granite and was erected in 1923. It was renovated in 2016.

Location: Outside Village Hall, Birchfield Road, Nordelph
Type: Celtic Cross
Description: The memorial is in the form of a Celtic cross made of grey granite. The cross is approximately 1.5 metres tall with a decorative carving of a Sword of Sacrifice on the front face. The cross is placed on a plinth on top of a single-step base. The WW1 inscription is placed on the plinth, with a WW2 addition on the cross shaft. The memorial is surrounded by seven posts that are connected by a chain.
