Summary

A World War One memorial with World War Two additions commemorating the servicemen of Great Plumstead. The memorial is in the form of a wheel-head cross made of granite. It was constructed in 1920.

Location: The churchyard, St Mary’s Church, Church Road, Great Plumstead
Type: Wheel-head cross
Description: The memorial is in the form of a wheel-head cross made of granite. It sits on a tapering four-sided plinth on top of a single-step base. The memorial is signed with the maker’s mark ‘Potter’. The inscription is placed on the east face of the plinth. The WW2 inscription was added to the south side of the plinth.
