Summary

A World War One memorial with World War Two additions commemorating the servicemen of East Harling. The memorial is in the form of a wheel-head cross made of Cornish granite. It was unveiled on 9 May 1920.

Location: Memorial Green, Junction of Cheese Hill, White Hart Street, and Market Street, East Harling
Type: Wheel-head Cross
Description: The memorial is in the form of a wheel-head cross made of Cornish granite. The cross face holds a decorative carving on a Sword of Sacrifice on the front. The cross has a tapering plinth that sits on a two-step base. The original inscription is placed on the west face of the plinth with WW1 names on the north and south faces. The additional WW2 inscription is placed on the east face. The memorial is surrounded by eight granite obelisk posts connected by metal bars.
