Summary

Metal-detecting at this location in 2023 recovered a group of three Roman silver coins likely to represent all or part of a small hoard or purse loss. These coins had probably been lost or deposited in the first half of the 3rd century AD.

3 Roman silver denarii likely to represent all or part of a small hoard or purse loss. The coins are all of the Severan dynasty and exhibit only limited wear, suggesting they were likely lost or deposited in the 220s or 230s.
