Full Description
October 2023. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
Ridge and furrow of probable post medieval date is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (S1) and visualised lidar data (S2). It is bounded to the north and west by the earthwork of a ditch, which presumably acted as a field boundary and possibly also as a drainage ditch. The ditch may be of medieval to post medieval date. As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently (2017) it is likely that the earthworks still survive.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 6 October 2023.
