Map

September 2023. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
The earthworks of a ring ditch with a central mound, of an unknown date, are seen on recent (2017) visualised lidar data (S1). The date and function of the features is unknown. The earthworks are unlikely to relate to a Bronze Age round barrow as the features appear to overlay a section of probable earthwork Roman road (NHER 31197). Although the date of the features is unknown, a medieval to post medieval or modern date is possible.
J. Powell (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 29 September 2023.
