Map

September 2023. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
Field boundaries, probably of a post medieval date, are visible as low earthworks on visualised lidar data (S1). They are not depicted on any of the readily accessible historical maps (such as the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6 inch map(S2)), but fit the same general pattern of enclosure, suggesting that although an earlier origin cannot be ruled out, they are generally of a post-medieval date. As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently (2017) it is likely that the probable field boundaries still survive.
