Full Description
February 2014. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of proposed development site (Trenches 3 and 4).
Four parallel north-north-west to south-south-east aligned linear features were exposed in the westernmost of the two trenches excavated at this location. No finds were recovered, although the orientation of these features suggests they most likely of medieval to post-medieval date.
See report (S1) for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 22 November 2023.
April-May 2014. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of groundworks associated with construction of several new residential dwellings.
No archaeologically-significant features or deposits were noted within the excavation foundation trenches.
See report (S2) for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 22 November 2023.
