Map

December 2023. Wendling Beck and Fransham Aerial Investigation and Mapping (AIM) Project.
A section of a possible post medieval parish boundary bank is seen as an earthwork on recent (2017) visualised lidar data (S1). The feature follows the alignment of the parish boundary between the modern parishes of Bradenham and Fransham (previously Little Fransham). The alignment of the parish boundary is depicted on the readily available historic maps (S3-S4). It is also possible that the boundary may instead relate to a post medieval field boundary visible on the Tithe map (S2). The boundary bank is likely to be post medieval in date. However, an earlier medieval date cannot be ruled out. As the lidar survey was flown in 2017, it is likely that the features still survive as a low earthwork.
